William Jon Dahl was born on June 30, 2008, in Willmar, the son of Michael and Lara (Lungstrom) Dahl. He was baptized at Peace Lutheran Church and confirmed at Living Word Lutheran Church. He grew up near New London where he loved being with his family, always knowing just the right way to irritate his brothers. While at home, he loved his dogs, cows, baking cookies and brownies and having a good steak with his family.
Will attended Prairie Woods Elementary and New London-Spicer High School where he was part of trap shooting, football and wrestling teams. He was successful in anything he set his mind to and as a student caused “just a little trouble.” He was very determined and once it was in his head, he was going to do it. He demonstrated this in wrestling numerous times as challenges arose.
Will enjoyed hunting deer, ducks, and coyote, and fishing open water and ice. While being in the outdoors he took time to see God’s beauty and had great respect for everything he hunted. He cherished hanging out with his friends and had a heart of gold and loved with all of it. He took pride in being a loyal and loving friend to many, who occasionally was known to have a crowd around him. He was the kind of person you never forgot once you met him.
Will is survived by his parents, Michael and Lara Dahl; brothers, Gage and Drew; grandparents, Philip and Janelle Lungstrom and Jeffrey and Cynthia Dahl; aunts, uncles and numerous cousins.
